"Lazy Days"

These Koala's were just lazing around, waiting to be photographed. They are amazing. I must admit that after the devastating bushfires in Victoria, where they say up to a million native animals may have died, I look at this photo through different eyes.... The fire ravaged over 400,000 hectares in Victoria. Thank goodness these little fellows are safe in a wildlife centre, and look happy, well fed and very comfortable.

I have lived in Perth Western Australia for the past 15 years, prior to that I lived in Birmingham UK.

I am a people person who loves being slightly nosey..... well I am just interested. I love taking photos, but have so much to learn, I only just found out what DOF was...... I am also teaching myself (very slowly) photoshop. So I have lots on my plate at the moment...... But I am loving it.

I have been on here for a few months now and cannot get away with saying I am new to AM3 anylonger. I have met some really interesting and funny people, and am loving it.

Please feel free to comment on my photos, and please, please, please leave any help, tips or suggestions, they will be greatfully recieved. I am soaking up all the information you give, and welcome your input.

The more help I can get the better.

What a horrible tragedy the fires were. The whole world reached out to you with love and concern. Now as for the koalas, that is lazy Australia style! Super capture, Marie.

Oh they are so beautiful!! And I too thank goodness they are safe after the devastation!!!
I have been up close to these guys and thay are lovely creatures....sleeping like 20 hrs a day and feeding for 4....what a life!!!

It is such a shame about all the devastation, no doubt some coursed by mindless individuals, this image distracts us away from that trauma and provides a comical and appropriate composition, love the guy leaning up the tree

I've heard the saying "It's a dogs Life". Well, me thinks a Koala's could be better. Well fed and well sheltered. Loafin and loungin.
The devastation caused by the bushfires is just tragic.

I'm glad to see these happy Koalas looking so comfortable. I saw some photos on a news site of Koalas in desperate shape begging for water from humans and sitting in pans of water to cool off. These guys are happy and just hanging out. That's much better.
